Riolo’s story starts like a cliched one with two graduate engineers who quit their jobs to solve a critical problem faced by our planet right now. To understand the gravity of the situation you don’t have to go far but just to your nearest forest, river, or beach. For us the flash point was at our beaches in Mumbai where every week hundreds of volunteers get up on a Sunday morning to pick up the plastic trash coughed out by our oceans. So, in addition to cleaning up the beaches we thought of reducing the plastic out in the environment by recycling it into new appealing products. And thus, the idea of Riolo was formed.
